早上看到新版 Yahoo Messenger 之後，晚上又非常令人警喜地看到 Skype 放出 Mac 版本支援視訊通話的消息。同時也放上了 Skype for Mac 視訊通話的螢幕快照。不過官方 Blog post 中有以下這段話：
What you need to know about this version is that it is an internal unstable development version, and thus it is extremely buggy. It may and will destroy your contacts and other data. It is completely unsupported and if you experience problems due to using this version, you’re on your own.這樣看來，目前網路上流傳的 Skype for Mac with Video 還在初期階段，仍有許多問題。不過既然一向守口如瓶的 Skype 都放出消息，那就有希望近期內可以推出。像 Skype 這種廣受歡迎的即時通訊軟體，如果推出了和 Windows 系統相同功能的 Mac 版本，對 Mac 使用者來說，可是一個大好消息。
