今天天氣真好，可是得去賴桑辦公室趕國科會資料，不過陽光下的政大看起來真漂亮。
真希望能回去上課，不過我想我依然會蹺課吧。沒辦法，狗改不了吃屎啊。

半緣修道半緣君
今天 Olek 說我就是太常往某人那邊跑，才會到現在都找不著情人。我能說啥呢？這時就只能吟一首元稹的「離思」了：

不過我得說，這幾年來我可沒看過什麼花叢，觸目所及遍是雜草，這不能怪我吧。我也希望夠再度擁有如漢樂府「上邪」的感受啊：
上邪，我欲與君相知，長命無絕衰。不過這首樂府是描寫女性對男性的感情堅貞，好像娘了點是吧？

A Trip to Yilan
Last weekend, I went for a trip to Yilan with my friends: Олег, Сима и Нина. Originally, I wanted to drive there through the Northern Costal Highway, but instead, we drove the Taipei-Yilan Highway due to Нина's opposition. And the reason why she was against my idea is that she wanted to eat some luwei (a kind of meat or fowl that stewed with soy sauce and strained before serving) in a roadside store on the Taipei-Yilan Highway.
Our first stop is Jiaoshi hotspring, which is my first time to bath in a hotspring. We spent a nice afternoon in the hot water. People say that bathing in a hotspring can improve your health and skin, but I find that bathing in a hotspring makes me feel sleepy. And it is very horrible to drive when one is sleepy. So our second stop is our hotel in the National Center for Traditional Art.
Forte Dong-shan Villa locates in the National Center for Traditional Art. It was originally only for traditional artists to stay, but opened to the public later. Forte combines Chinese traditional exterior and modern interior, which is very special even in Taiwan. The interior is not as good as five-star hotels, but we was very satisfied about the space of our room, which is big enough for 8 people to sleep in if you want to save some money. But Forte has no restaurant or convenience store that open after 8:00 p.m. So it is very inconvenient for dining. We drove to Yilan city to buy food that night.
The next day, we spent most of the day in the National Center for Traditional Art. It features a Chinese old-style street. You can find many nostalgic stuff from childhood. And also, my favorite, Starbucks. And we took the Northern Costal Highway home in the afternoon after I finished my Starbucks coffee.

Fujifilm F10 & Nikon S1
今天和 Olek 一起去買他肖想好久的隨身相機，去之前我們已經把目標鎖定在有高 ISO 的富士 F10，大概是富士快要出 F11 的關係，跑遍數位達人和博漢區卻僅有數家有貨，而且只有金久一家有水貨（沒在那邊買的原因是因為有個臉很臭的小姐）。後來多虧 Molly 的大力幫忙（嗯，男友似乎在旁邊，因為我聽到有個男生喃喃唸著「億華」。），才讓我們在沒有網路的情況下找到了 eWhat（前億華，改名了難怪之前都找不到資料）的地址和電話。經過確認有現貨而且價格合理後，便驅車前往。
到了以後發現 eWhat 又小又不起眼人又多（擠死人了，還好它快搬家，希望搬去大一點的地方），不過幸運的是招待我們的 eWhat 店員是個又可愛，服務態度又好的漂亮妹妹（金久 Bye bye！），可惜 Olek 膽子小不敢拍她。稍微測試一下沒問題後，我們就帶著 F10 回家了。回家路上順便繞到師大路測試 F10 的高 ISO 能力，並以我的 Nikon S1 做為對照組。以下是其中一組照片。
前者是 F10，後者是 S1，兩張照片都是以 ISO 400 拍攝。比較之下，果然 F10 所標榜的高 ISO 值不是蓋的，雖然暗處有些微雜訊，但亮處曝光正常，表現甚佳。反觀 S1，不但亮處爆掉，而且雜訊多到誇張的地步。最幹的是，S1 是我的！看來 F10 的高 ISO 果然有其實用性。我應該可以接受到 ISO 800 的畫質吧，反正在網路上或洗六乘四的照片時看不出雜訊來（搞不好洗六乘四時 ISO 1600 也看不出來，還需要實驗）。看來可以準備存錢（或買樂透或刷卡）買富士新出的 F11 或 Z2了。
ps. 我說過我換新手機了嗎？

Google於3日將數千本公共領域書籍掛上網，亞馬遜公司（Amazon.com）立刻還以顏色，計畫推出讀者上網讀書服務。另一方面，全球最大貿易類書籍出版商藍燈書屋（Random House），也準備讓讀者付費上網看書。
網路出版的發展時機大概快到了。

Apple iTunes & KK Box
這就是我死都不用 KK BOX 的原因，它和 Apple iTunes 實在是太像了啊，連按鍵的配置位置都差不多。（其實它和 iTunes 5.x 版更像，因為 iTunes 6.x 介面大改。）其他像 KK Box 2.0 版才推出「MV 頻道」功能，和 iTunes Music Store 購買 Music Video 的功能有多像就先不說了。

Yi Cafe
This picture was taken in the Yi Cafe of Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei. My friends and I went there for afternoon buffet yesterday. Going there on an impulse, we didn't make a reservation. When we arrived at the the hotel, we surprisingly noticed that there was already a long line outside Yi Cafe. I don't know that's because Yi Cafe's buffet is very famous in Taipei, or just beucase the people in Taipei like to go to an expensive restaurant on Sunday afternoons. Though the food is good, but not as good and as various as I expected. Maybe the buffet will be better at dinner time.

One Night in City Suite
七月，溽暑難耐、工作不順，亟欲覓一所在，忘卻紅塵。恰逢台南「友人」來訪，稍經敗家學長李先生慫恿後（至於此位學長有多敗家，短短二個月內，出國二次、出遊一次，不知可敗家否？），七月二十八日，訂房；七月二十九日，出發前往城市商旅。原欲驅車前往，但去電得知城市商旅之「免費停車」系由專人泊車至特約停車場後，由於生性膽小兼吝嗇，便轉念搭乘捷運前去，省下小費。千里迢迢，由捷運景美站至中山站後，由於出發前未詳研地圖，僅依城市商旅地址判斷，此商務旅館應位於衣蝶百貨附近。經中山站出站後左轉步行十分鐘後，到達南京西路圓環，四處張望，亦不似精品旅館所應在之處，內心實幹聲連連。繞過圓環繼續前行二百公尺，城市商旅躍然映入眼簾。但四周賓館林立、街道老舊，內心嫌惡之情不禁油然而生。
但一切由踏進城市商旅驟然改觀。旅館內設計簡約、禪風十足，進入城市商旅第一眼看見的，並非登記櫃台，乃一精緻階梯。需右轉上樓後，左方才為櫃台，住房便在此處登記。右方為會議室，住房旅客每日可免費使用半個時辰。此處並設有手提電腦可供房客上網使用。櫃台人員服務態度甚佳，值得讚許。由於本人臉皮甚薄（亦即「膽小」），並未拍攝此處照片。由於此行前一日才訂房，較便宜的房型已售罄，因此便訂下十三坪的主管客房，搭配「悠遊城市」國人住房專案，內含二張捷運一日卷及二張華納威秀電影票，一共四千四百元加一成服務費。房內設施如上圖所示。
值得一提的是，入房後，需將鑰匙磁卡放入門左方插槽，房內始供電。由於入房前，旅館人員並未解釋此項功能，敝人摸黑甚久始得其解。房內設有迷你吧檯，除咖啡及茶外，其餘皆需計費，但其費用並不如所想高昂。小客廳之案上亦擺有迎賓水果，但由於貪小便宜性格作祟，除價格較高的梨外，其餘價格低廉的蘋果、奇異果此次皆不屑一顧。由於城市商旅為一商務旅館，因此全館皆有無線網路可使用，但此次商旅中的無線網路似運作不良，在房內接收不到訊號。但如需上網，亦可至櫃台免費借用網路線。雖不滿意，但仍可接受。房內電視為液晶電視，並提供有線電視觀看，甚至還備有DVD放影機，可供房客觀賞自備的DVD。房中浴室內各項用品一應俱全，甚至亦擺有一張化妝椅，不知是否讓人坐觀浴室春光之用。澡盆甚小，僅能容納一人而已。全套衛浴用品皆為歐舒丹用品，亦為值得一提之處。
台南友人八點才姍姍來遲，經一夜風流後，該是檢視早餐品質之時。用餐之處稍小，早餐菜色亦不多變，稍令人失望，但早餐風味頗佳，並有專人為房客煎蛋捲，讓人驚喜。（同前，本人膽小如鼠，亦未拍攝此處風光。）用餐完畢，至房內處理私事後，打道回府，結束此次城市商旅之行。

Tired of Working Overtime
10:30 p.m. This is the time when I got home today. Worked overtime again. I've never thought that I would try that hard doing my work. I thought that I was the one who would leave work on time everyday. I am so tired of work late, but strangely, I don't hate my job. And that's new to me. Thankfully, this project will end in a week. Can't wait to take a rest. On my way home, I almost ran over a dog on the highway. I hope I didn't scare him, though he really pissed me off. WHAT KIND OF DOG WILL WALK ON THE HIGHWAY AT THAT LATE AT NIGHT!!! YOU STUPID DOG!!!
Sleeping Cat Who Doesn't Like the Lights
My cat, Tolstoy, is just like his owner, he dones't like the lights when he's sleeping. But I alway think he is sooo cute when he covers his eyes like this. That's why I always leave a light on when he sleeps, but only when I'm not going to sleep. I hate the light when I am sleeping, too.

Unleashed Dog
I always walk my dog on leash, because evertime he sees a person, he will dash to that person and show the eager to play by jump up to that person. But with his size, that's definitely not a good thing. He is almost one year old, so I thought he will be more stable than he was. So last week I try to walk him unleashed. On the way, he charged at two people. Well, I can't say I am surprised. And after that, the string is back on!

Trilogy: The Weeping Meadow
Trilogy is the newest work of Greek film master Theo Angelopoulos. In Trilogy, Angelopoulos looks back the 20th century vicissitudes of Greek people through the eye of the 21st. The whole story is separated into three independent films. The setting spans from the beginning of the 20th century to the 21st century. Stories are told about the radical changes of Greek modern history and the destitute and exilic odyssey of Greek people.

One will recognize traces from Oedipus Rex and Seven Against Thebes in the course of a love affair and the fate of a woman. CKS Airport
I went to the CKS International Airport to see my professor in college off to Russia. He went there for advanced study, which made me feel shame about myself. Maybe I should work harder to make myself into a better man. Just "maybe". And going to the airport reminds me that I havn't be abroad for such a long time. I miss the feel of taking flight and being a total stranger in another country. I should start to save money for a flight ticket. Or better, I can buy a bunch of Lonely Planet books and check in a hotel, faking I'm a stranger here in Taiwan.

Angels In America Synopsis
Look up! Look up! Prepare the way... The messenger is coming. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play written by Tony Kushner and produced by HBO, Angels In America features Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, and Emma Thompson leading an all-star cast in this two-part, six-hour epic miniseries. And now, Angels In America is being released on DVD in Taiwan by Warner Home Video Taiwan.
The two full-length plays (Part 1: The Millennium Approaches, Part 2: Perestroika) were originally performed on Broadway in 1993, and were adapted for the screen by the playwright and director Mike Nichols in 2003. Set in New York City in the mid-'80s, the story unfolds following the interconnected lives of several characters.
Joe Pitt (Patrick Wilson) is a closeted gay mormon, who married his wife Harper (Mary-Louise Parker) to deny his homosexuality. Harper suffers from an addiction to Valium due to the lack of intimacy with Joe. Meanwhile, conservative power-broker Roy Cohn (Al Pacino), who gave Joe the offer of promotion, is dying of AIDS. He is a homophobic closeted gay, who denies his own illness. because he believes the sickness is only for weak people, and he is neither weak nor gay. Finally, he gets very sick and is sent to a hospital under the care of the nurse Belize (Jeffrey Wright), who is an African-American drag queen.
And there is another person who has AIDS in the miniseries — Prior Walter (Justin Kirk), a likable young man who lives on a small trust fund. He lives with his boyfriend, Louis Ironson (Ben Shenkman) and wonders if he is crazy as he is visited by ghosts of his ancestors, and selected by angels to be a prophet. Louis eventually can't take the pressure of his illness anymore. He abandons Prior and starts a relationship with the married mormon Lawyer, Joe.

Old Style Vending Machine
Last Sunday, I went on a tour with my friends to a water dam. The scenic spot has nothing special to see. But on the way, I found this old style coke vending machine. I haven't seen this kind of vending machine which is usable for like 15 years. It was my fav when I'm in elementary school. It reminds me the good old carefree days. So I gave it a shot. And the coke still tasted as good as it was before. It also told me how time flies and I'm not any younger ... and unaccomplished.
